Dental Cone Beam CT

High-resolution 3D imaging of maxilla and mandible with low radiation dose

Why CBCT for dentists?

Images made with CBCT have a higher spatial resolution than conventional CT. Both maxilla and mandible can be examined together in a single acquisition (cylinder of 16 cm diameter, 13 cm high), with a radiation dose that is substantially lower, and with fewer metal artifacts than with a classic CT.

Beyond the classic axial sections, reconstructions can be made in any plane, while maintaining the original 0.2 mm resolution. 'Dentascan' images perpendicular to the dental arch are available if needed. The images, easily consultable via the Internet, can be downloaded in DICOM format for your specific dental software (Nobelcare, etc.).

Since 2017, this examination has been reimbursed by health insurance, only for dentists for implant planning. The personal contribution is 25€.
